Tulane Law School offers five different specialization certifications for those who need expertise in particular areas of Title IX compliance. Each specialization certification consists of multiple individual certificates and provides participants with the legal foundations of Title IX and related laws, including basic tenets of education law, constitutional claims, contract principles, and tort law.
This specialization certification is for those internal and external personnel who have responsibility for adjudicating disciplinary matters related to Title IX. It provides details on how to thoughtfully structure and handle hearings in a professional manner that allow participants a meaningful opportunity to be heard while ensuring that all applicable laws are followed in the process.
To earn this specialization certification, you must complete the following individual certificates:
- The Foundations of Title IX: A Summary of the History and Development of the Law
- Legal Essentials: An Exploration of Critical Legal Principles Impacted by Title IX Matters
- Title IX: Hearings and Adjudications
- Title IX: Legal Principles and Developments in Title IX Litigation
- Title IX and the Intersection with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, FERPA, and Other Statutes
This specialization is geared to both professionals within and outside educational institutions who have been tasked to investigate Title IX related claims including allegations of sexual misconduct, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and sex harassment. You will explore processes, practices, and strategies to ensure that Title IX investigations are thorough and equitable.
To earn this specialization certification, you must complete the following individual certificates:

- Title IX and the Intersection with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, FERPA, and Other Statutes
This specialization certification is for employees in higher education and K-12 institutions who have responsibility for ensuring athletics programs comply with Title IX. It meaningfully discusses foundational athletics compliance obligations as well as best practices to ensure compliance.
To earn this specialization certification, you must complete the following individual certificates:

This specialization certification is targeted to current and prospective Title IX Coordinators and addresses the full range of responsibilities necessary to create a robust Title IX compliance program.
To earn this advanced specialization certification, you must complete the following individual certificates:
